Ancient Civilizations The Maya, Aztec and Inca our ancient civilizations that have both similarities and differences. These three ancient civilizations grew maize. The Aztec and Inca conquered all tribes around them with the mighty ruler over all, while Maya governed themselves. Though they all had their differences, Maya lived in Mexico’s Yucatán peninsula and Central America. They thrived between 1000 B.C and 1542 A.D. They knew much about arithmetic and astronomy. While Aztec stayed in Mexico and lived through the 1400s. They were fierce warriors, but they were known for their sunstone calendar to see each day. The Inca too had their own accomplishments. They used irrigation to grow crops, which we still use today. The impact of their societies are still helpful today.
